I'm back to Working on Open Source at Google

After some time away focusing on products and services, I’m excited to get back to working with the open source community. This week I’ve started a new role at Google as the Program Development TL for Cloud in the Open Source Programs Office (OSPO).

Google has a long history of open source participation across multiple projects in compute, data, and consumer technologies. In my new role I will be focused on the Cloud-native space, where effectively Google has invented many of the technologies that underpin today’s Cloud.

Large portion of my work will be focused on helping Google manage its open source project portfolio and develop its new programs to address the needs of the open source community using the extensive learnings and technologies available internally. I’ll be working closely with the individual projects, contributors, and foundations to enable close relationships between external and internal developers, and to ensure a world-class contributor experience.

Most of all, I’m looking forward to reconnecting with some old friends and making new ones. After all, open source is about the people.

Stay tuned for more news in this space,
